July 2025 Eagle Forum Oklahoma Meeting
Posted on by Oklahoma Eagle Forum
Today’s July 2025 Eagle Forum Oklahoma meeting was a very fun time!
We had a variety package with something for everyone! We had our gracious sponsor, State Representative Molly Jenkins, welcome and speak to us; and Senator Shane Jett spoke and shared his respect for Eagle Forum and its founder Phyllis Schlafly! We had a little business, a short lesson on name tags, a pop quiz on the Constitution, a very informative video on the forms of government and why a Republic is the best, (thank you Jerome Montgomery for sharing from your library) and, a door prize winner of the book, “Is Our Constitution in Jeopardy?” by Anne Schlafly (Phyllis’ daughter and Chairman of Eagle Forum).
After a break for lunch, we had a guided tour of the beautiful artwork around the newly renovated Oklahoma Capitol building. Then the real FUN began, especially for our Teen Eagles!
We had a special guide lead us in the very steep climb (about 250 steps up spiral and steep ladders) up to the top of the Capitol Dome!! It was an adventure to remember!
I certainly put my heart, lungs, and legs to the test!
We all had to sign a waiver not to post photos on the dome tour on social media– sorry — ya had to be there!
But, here are several other pics from the day. I hope everyone who attended had as much fun as I did! Thank you to everyone who came! We made new friends, shared with old friends, and made some great memories with grandkids.
